How long will it take to get my internet order?

If there is likely to be an unusual delay in getting your order dispatched to you for any reason we will contact you immediately after we become aware of the fact to take your instructions-therefore it is essential that you provide us with correct contact details.

We try our best to get your order to you as soon as humanly possible. We will turn the majority of orders around within 48 to 72 hours (excluding weekends) although please allow longer during peak periods. If any item you have ordered is out of stock but due in within a couple of days, we will hold your order until it arrives.

On the day your order is dispatched you will receive a confirmation email. Although the majority of parcels are delivered quickly, please allow 15 postal days following the date of despatch before chasing your order unless you have elected to pay extra for a guaranteed service.

What are your Postal (Shipping) Charges?

We aim to dispatch your order via Royal Mail or Fastway couriers as soon as possible. Please bear in mind we do not work on Saturdays and Sundays, and there are times when we have many orders to process so delays may occur.

Due to the volumes of orders we handle, we operate a flat rate charge of £4.95 for all uk mainland orders .  This has the benefit of speeding up order processing (especially during peak periods) and you never need to worry about how much your postage will be because it will always be the same no matter how large or heavy your order is!

The charge is worked out as an "average" of what it costs us to send out all orders and covers our basic expenses and is still, we believe, a very reasonable charge. For customers who wish to place smaller orders, we recommend that you group your smaller orders together to make the most of the flat rate charge.

We pride ourselves on taking personal care of your orders to ensure your shopping experience with us is honest, friendly and above all, that you have a great time and come back again!

I want to order but don't want to do it online, how do I do it?

Sorry we only take orders online using a debit/credit card. When you order online, you are processing your own card transaction through Protx. Your payment is instantly charged to your credit/debit card. Our system automatically creates your invoice for us, leaving no room for error. All we do is pick, pack and send your order (it makes it sound so easy!)

As this is the case, we do not have the facility to take card payments over the phone at this time.

If you email your order to info@crafty-affairs.co.uk we do accept cheques or postal orders but cheques must be cleared into our bank account before goods are dispatched.

We do not accept payments by Paypal.

What Exactly Is Dufex?

Being a crafter is all about creating your own distinctive look. It’s easy to come up with your own unique designs with Dufex... cards, gifts, and a whole range of projects that are completely different from anything you’ve seen before. Dufex can help you create this distinctive look because it is different!

This isn’t foil blocking and it isn’t holographics... this is Dufex and there’s nothing else like it! To bring you these brilliant craft products, a combination of a very unusual printing process and the skills of a team of specialist engravers are used.

The result is a light catching, reflective faceted surface that can make a design really come to life.

How Does Dufex Work?

Hand engraved designs or patterns are embossed on to foil sheets to create the distinctive Dufex quality of depth and movement through the diffraction of light on the image surface.

To create the picture prints and stickers, images are first printed on to the metallic foil using transparent inks, which allow the reflective quality of the foil to be retained.

Specialist engravers are then able to pick out the details of each image by hand to bring it to life on the finished print!

How To Care For Dufex?

How To Care For Dufex

As you’ll want to get the best from these skilfully engraved products here are some simple guidelines recommended for the care and use of Dufex.

Adhesive
For Dufex products other than those, which are self adhesive, we suggest using water based PVA adhesive. Double sided tape and adhesive pads can also be used. Hot or solvent based adhesives should not be used with Dufex.

Storage
Dufex products should be stored in a cool dry place and kept away from hot surfaces and direct sunlight.

Handling
Take care when working with Dufex products to avoid marking the finely engraved surface, as with many craft materials it can be accidentally torn or scraped.
